Build

Once the design, specifications, materials and project costs are finalized, it’s time to build! Our first step is working with your town to obtain the required permits. This may include a building permit, conservation commission approval, zoning board or historical commission approval just to name a few. We’ve worked through this process on hundreds of projects and can bring that expertise to bear for your project as well.

Before construction starts on your home, we’ve already undergone a rigorous process to ensure that your project goes smoothly. Our project managers and the assigned lead carpenter have already developed a detailed schedule, ordered all the materials in advance, and have planned the coordination of material delivery. There are hundreds of items that can affect the timing of your project and we want to make sure they are all in place before we start. This upfront planning makes all the difference between a project that runs on-time and a project that goes over schedule.

Once your project gets underway, we’ll keep you informed every step of the way. You’ll have a lead carpenter on-site everyday and a project coordinator in our office that will communicate with you regularly. You’ll get daily updates by email or phone and we’re always available if you have questions. You’ll also have a 24-hour contact number in the event you need to reach someone after business hours.

We know that remodeling can be an exciting but still, stressful, time. At Red Apple we strive to make the construction phase of your project as low stress as possible. We take every measure to separate the area under construction from the rest of your home using dust and floor protection where needed. In addition to our daily updates, our on-site crew is happy to answer any questions you might have and make every effort to keep your home as clean as possible. Anything we can do to lower the stress of the project and keep things moving smoothly.
